The Prostatectomy Rebuild
Pelvic floor weakness after prostate surgery is common — but it isn’t something you have to just live with. A 10-treatment core-to-floor plan, built around your surgery date, with urologist oversight from the Barrie Urology Group to help you rebuild continence and confidence.

The 10-Treatment Protocol
Built around your surgery date
Phase 1 · Before surgery
Pre-operative optimization
Timing: 2 to 8 weeks before your procedure.
- 2 × 28-minute B-Pulse sessions
- Strengthen the pelvic floor before surgery, not after
- Goal: a higher baseline of muscle tone going in
Phase 2 · After surgery
Post-operative rebuild
Timing: starting 4+ weeks post-surgery, with urologist clearance.
- 8 × 28-minute B-Pulse sessions, weekly or bi-weekly
- Re-educate muscles affected by surgery
- Goal: shorten the road back to full continence
Passive Power
You sit. The muscles do the work.
- Fully clothed, seated treatment — no needles, surgery or downtime
- Thousands of deep contractions in a single 28-minute session
- Health Canada approved device, used under clinical oversight
- Nothing to practise at home between sessions
Your Options
Comparing the paths to continence
| Pads & protective wear | Manual Kegels | B-Pulse HIFEM therapy | |
|---|---|---|---|
|
Muscle recruitment |
None — the muscle is bypassed entirely | Shallow and inconsistent | Deep, supramaximal activation |
| Effort required | Ongoing daily management | High — daily, precise focus | Passive; you sit fully clothed |
| Timeline | No recovery, only masking | Months, sometimes longer | Many men notice change within the first weeks |
| Confidence | Low — cost, odour, anxiety | Variable — hard to isolate the right muscles | Aimed at a faster return to normal life |
